Island Offshore have signed a new contract with VARD for the delivery of an additional Offshore Energy Construction Vessel (OECV)! This will be the sister vessel to Island Evolution, with similar equipment and solutions. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2027 and will be a new and important contribution to the renewal of Island Offshore’s fleet.
In April 2024, it was 20 years since the shipping company Island Offshore was established. Now, the shipping company is again making a bold move by ordering a large Ocean Energy Construction Vessel from Vard with options for two more.
Island Offshore has secured long-term employment for the Island Condor, with a 4.5-year contract commencing in autumn 2024.
Island Victory has secured work for the coming autumn and will support the installation phase of a new gas pipeline in the Mediterranean. In addition, the vessel is secured work in the second half of 2024, when Island Victory will return to the Gulf of Mexico, and the customer Subsea7.

Island Offshore has secured a contract for the supply vessel Island Commander with Equinor. The vessel is currently on spot fixture for the same company and is now allowed to hold on for another seven months, with options for 2 + 2 months after this.
Island Offshore has been awarded several important vessel contracts during the first months of 2022. At present all 25 vessels are employed. Total value of awarded contracts is approx. NOK 500 million and as of March, 60% of available days in 2022 are sold out.
Island Crusader has been running on biogas for two months now with a total of 700 running hours on LBG. So far, we experience good reductions in CO2 emissions. During this period, 128 tonnes of biogas (LBG) have been used, against 124 tonnes of LNG and 24 tonnes of MGO. Replacing LNG with LBG has so far reduced CO2 emissions by 372 tonnes.
Island Crusader is the first offshore vessel on the Norwegian shelf running on biofuel, resulting in immediate and significant reductions in CO2 emissions.

The deep-water installation vessel Island Victory has set yet another record, this time during pre-laying of anchors at the Solveig field in the North Sea. 440 tonnes of continuous traction on an anchor counts as a world record and has never been done by one vessel alone before.
With Rowan Viking in place Island Contender commenced operation for Lundin Energy as a support vessel for the rig last week. Island Contender had batteries and shore connection installed in December 2020, which combined with the vessel’s gas engines will reduce the emissions to the environment substantially.
Island Valiant just returned after a five week expedition in the Norwegian Sea, drilling for core samples at the Mohns Ridge on behalf of The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) and operator TIOS. The project is characterized as ground breaking work; drilling with coil tubing at more than 3000 metres depth.
Island Offshore has ordered battery packs and shore connections for three platform supply vessels. Island Crusader has already been sailing on battery since early summer. All three vessels are chartered by Lundin Energy Norway on long-term contracts.
Island Victory is currently working for Ocean Installer in the Barents Sea installing two subsea frames called Module L at the Askeladd field. This is so far the heaviest lift ever performed by an Island Offshore vessel, with a load of 175.2 tonnes (!) in the crane hook.
Island Victory has secured more work in the Barents Sea this spring. Early April the vessel commenced a 60-90 days contract for Ocean Installer at Johan Castberg and Askeladd. Equinor is the end customer for both fields.
Island Diligence has been awarded two walk-to-work contracts in the last month, securing the vessel employment until late fall this year. Island Diligence has already started working for Trianel in the German Bight, where she performs walk-to-work operations on a wind park called Trianel Windpark Borkum II.
Island Offshore has secured long-term contracts for several of its platform supply vessels. The two LNG-fuelled PSVs Island Crusader and Island Contender as well as a third sister vessel Island Commander, are awarded contracts with Lundin Norway.
Island Victory just finished mobilizing for her first campaign in the Barents Sea. 24.500 metres of 84mm chain was loaded, equivalent to 3.773 tonnes, as well as 16 anchors weighing 18 tonnes each. No other vessel can compete with this capacity.

Island Offshore’s first step into the Walk to Work (W2W) segment was taken in 2013 with the delivery of Island Crown. Since then Island Offshore’s footprint within this type of services has kept on growing. We now have a fleet of four Walk to Work vessels.
Deep Water Installation Vessel Island Victory beat all records of towing power this week. During the bollard pull test by VARD a towing power of 477 tonnes was measured! The next on the list for similar vessels measured a bollard pull of 423 tonnes at delivery.
Island Offshore has secured several contracts for vessels in different segments this fall.
