Leadership Development Training
Island Offshore has together with Symbio Consulting developed a leadership training for our Captains. Through quarterly sessions Captains are challenged and trained to enhance consciousness about factors that affect quality, co-operation, teamwork and the individual’s role in the business, all with the aim to strengthen the participating Captain’s leadership skills.
From time to time, conflicts may arise on board the vessels that can be challenging to deal with. Learning methods and skills on how to handle “difficult conversations” can make significant contributions to the parties involved and the work environment overall.
The aim with the program is to create common behaviour and references, as well as a shared system of concepts on how to collaborate. The program also provides insight into what co-operation demands of people, and last but not least, self-knowledge and understanding required to own strengths and development needs. Case studies and homework between the sessions ensures that the “students” are prepared.
